for Humanity of Suffolk is a non-profit, ecumenical
Christian partnership of concerned people that builds with and
sells affordable homes to hardworking low-income families.
Since
1992, Island Harvest has been serving as the
bridge between those who have excess food and those who need
it… a trained corps of dedicated volunteers rescues surplus
food from commercial donors and collects canned and packaged
foods from collection campaigns.
Throughout
its 50 year history, Lifespire has striven
to educate others, fought discrimination, been a staunch advocate
for the disabled and assisted individuals with developmental
disabilities in living full and rewarding lives.
The
mission of The Long Island State Veterans Home
is to provide high quality and compassionate health care services
for veterans and their families without regard to race, gender,
religion, disability, age or national origin.
United
Cerebral Palsy (UCP) is the leading source of information
on cerebral palsy and is a pivotal advocate for the rights of
persons with any disability. The UCP mission is to advance the
independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with
disabilities through an affiliate network.
The
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is working
to defeat more than 40 neuromuscular diseases through programs
of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching
professional and public health education.
From
caring for children in the foster care system to providing shelters
for the homeless and schools for young people with developmental
disabilities, SCO Family of Services embraces
every individual with care, respect and compassion.
Asian
Women in Business is a not-for-profit membership organization
founded in 1995 to assist Asian women to realize their entrepreneurial
potential. AWIB fills a vital need for women who need information,
education and networking opportunities to start or expand their
businesses.
Suffolk
AHRC provides programs and services for over 2,500
men, women, and children with developmental disabilities. Suffolk
AHRC provides individualized and dynamic opportunities for the
all the individuals they serve.

Staff at Independent Group Home Living (IGHL)
show uncompromising dedication toward helping the families they
serve with programs designed to educate and services designed
to help.
Since
1990, ANIBIC has run Individual Residential
Alternatives that offer developmentally disabled individuals
the option of residing in their community while maintaining
a great degree of independence and receiving necessary programmatic
support.
Team
for Kids is made up of more than 5,000 adult runners
from around the world who raise funds for NYRR Foundation youth
fitness programs. Since 2002, Team for Kids members have raised
more than $12 million, helping to transform kids’ lives
throughout the United States, as well as the Cape Town region
of South Africa.
